My cousin is Lois Morris. She is one year older than me. She lives in Arcata or Eureka.
I went to Hydesville Schools from 1961 to 1963 when I was in first, second and third grade.
In my third grade we moved into the then new school behind the one that is pictured.
We played games on the steps that were pictured.
My teachers were Mrs. Wofford in first grade, Mrs Evans in second and Mrs. Youngreen in third.
Mrs Evans died in 1964 in the earthquake in Alaska. I went to Cuddeback School for Kindergarten in 1960.
My father is Truman Morris, son of Lee and Mary Morris.
My grandparents lived in the house next to Murphy’s Store on the side away from the schoolhouse.
